Mary was the beloved mother of 12, Grandmother of 22 and Great-Grandmother of 2, and a special friend to those who knew her. She passed away peacefully at her home in Laguna Woods surrounded by family on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Mary came to Southern California from Indiana in 1934 with her mother and father. She attended Poly High School, graduating in 1942. Mary later met and married Felix, her life-long love, after meeting him at the Icthian Club at St. Anthony's. While Felix and his brother John Kevin were serving overseas, Mary became a Wave with the Navy, serving most of her time in Corona. She has also been a long time member of the YLI (Young Ladies Institute), better known to some of the younger Mallons' as the "Wild Eyes." Mary was predeceased by her husband, Felix Eamon and eldest son, John Joseph Mallon. She is survived by her children and their families: Stephanie Hanson, Laura Crane, Melanie Mallon, Mary Mallon-Chavez, Rosaleen Hall, Brigid Haase, Felix Mallon, Martha Smith, Sarah Mallon, Bill Mallon, and Matthew Mallon. Her twenty-two Granchildren-Timothy Crane, Gary Hall III, Margot Mallon, Michael Crane, Scott Hall, Vanessa Mallon, Erin Haase, Jimmy Chavez, Andrew Mallon, Nicole Chavez, Jacquelyn Mallon, Jon Mallon, Evan Haase, Christina Chavez, Emily Haase, Richard Hanson, Felix Chavez, Raymond Hanson, John Smith, Mary Smith, Riley Mallon, Kate Mallon and two Great-Granchildren Luci Hall and Penelope Hall.

Rosary, Sunday February 1, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Luyben Dilday Mortuary; Mass, Monday February 2, 2015 at 12 pm at St. Anthony Church, 540 Olive Ave., Long Beach, CA 90802. Flowers can be sent to the Mortuary after 4 pm on Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you send donations in Mary's name to the St. Anthony's Church Lighting fund, 540 Olive Ave., Long Beach, CA 90808
