Mary Leidner

Our beloved Mary Leidner, 90 years old, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2023.

Mary was born on May 11, 1933 to Bessie Smith Frost and Larson Frost of Long Beach, California.

Mary is survived by her son Richard Leidner.

Mary’s memorial service was held on May 25, 2023 at the Neighborhood Church (The Anointed Place). Her burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery.

Mary attended Bryant Elementary School. After school she loved going to grandma’s house for freshly baked cookies.

Mary attended Jefferson Middle School. After graduating from Wilson High School in 1951, Mary attended secretarial school. Mary worked for years for the president of Foster and Kleiser Advertising before starting her family. Mary was a teacher for many years at Bible Study Fellowship International.

Mary was dedicated to her church (The Neighborhood Church). She taught the senior bible study group, helped with meals in the kitchen and attended Wednesday night bible study.

Mary continued to volunteer and coordinate a bread ministry, 5 days a week to help people in need.

Mary’s hobbies were doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, sewing, knitting and needlepoint (plastic canvas).

Mary enjoyed having lunch weekly with Richard and playing cards.

Mary will be missed.
