Mary Teresa Kiely

Mary Teresa Elizabeth (Betty) Kiely passed at the age of 93 on February 16, 2026 in Garden Grove, California. She was born in Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, Ireland. In 1950 she left Duleek, County Meath, at the age of 17 for nurses training in London, England. In November 1956 she left Liverpool and arrived in New York in December 1956. She worked as a nurse in Boston, MA and Southern California. She married Dr. Andrew Kiely in December 1960. She will be remembered as a kind, gentle, generous, selfless and beautiful lady inside and out. She was predeceased by her brother Stephen Edward, Dr. Andrew Kiely, her sister Bernadette and brother Michael. She is survived by her siblings Anne, Oliver, Timothy, Eamon, Georgina, Nuala, Stephen, Patrick, and Geraldine, her children Terence, Finbarr, Elizabeth, and Georgina, and grandchildren. May your gentle beautiful, loving soul rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
