Mary Ann Theresa Durkin passed away on September 1, 2022. She left behind a legacy of being a protector, friend, and beloved family member. Mary Ann was fiercely loyal, compassionate, and she often helped others in need. Mary Ann loved family, enjoyed traveling, and she loved the Dallas Cowboys as evident in her sportswear and personalized license plate. Mary Ann was a devoted and loving daughter, a beloved aunt, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, and a friend to all she knew. Mary Ann was known for her homemade, spicy salsa that would often be requested by co-workers, family, and friends. What you might not know about Mary Ann is that she provided comfort to those who needed comforting, she was generous, kind, and she never forgot her roots. She was deeply seeded in the catholic religion and faithfully attended her childhood family church, and she loved God. Mary Ann was an excellent softball player, and a perennial all-star when she was younger. She consistently exhibited courage, strength, and she fought through adversity. She was a true companion to our mother, and she missed our dearly departed parents. We are comforted to know that she is reunited with them in Heaven. Family was important to Mary Ann. She adored her niece and nephews, and she spoiled them with gifts, trips to Knott’s Berry Farm, and lunches. We are heartbroken and in disbelief she is no longer with us, but thankful for the time that we had with sweet Mary Ann. She will live on in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace, Mary Ann, we will love you forever.
