Mary Anne Cannavan Profile Photo

Mary Anne Cannavan was born April 22nd, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas to Willis and Dorothy Bell. She met and then married her husband William Cannavan on her birthday in 1950. They started their family and moved to California where they raised their 4 children, Teresa, Michael, Stephen and Timothy.

Mary Anne was an active member of Saint Cyprian Catholic church and attended the 10:30 am mass for as long as any family member or friend can remember.

She retired from GTE and filled her time with many passions. She joined and served with the Lay Mission Helpers in Sierra Leone, Africa and the Marshall Islands.  Mary Anne was an avid reader and writer; she belonged to the Life Story Writing Group where she wrote stories and poems. She wrote stories of her life that she shared with her family. This is a blessing for all of us to have.

Mary Anne loved to travel and to visit her grandkids, theme parks for all the roller coaster rides and even had a trip to universal studios planned to do indoor skydiving. She was fearless and loving.  Everyone called her grandma. Mary Anne's husband and her 4 children preceded her in death. She is survived by her younger brother Jerry Bell, 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren with a couple more on the way. Heaven has gained another beautiful soul who will be sorely missed.

Till we meet again.
