Marlene Teresa Quackenbush

Marlene Theresa Quackenbush, 62, passed away early, March 22, 2017 from recent onset pneumonia complications, Riverside CA.

Marlene was born April 24, 1954, in Torrance California, and lived locally in the Long Beach area most of her adult and married life.  She was a retired field rep and a beloved member of her local and extended community.  She was a huge advocate of cancer awareness and prevention.  Marlene was a pillar of strength, knowledge and courage in the face of any adversity.  She will be missed by anyone who was lucky enough to have met her.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ted Quackenbush; her children, Theresa Lancaster and Mathew Quackenbush, along with their spouses Randy Lancaster and Kristelle Chipman; her grandchildren, Chloe Lancaster, Johnathan Lancaster, Ryan Dodge, Ruby Lancaster, Zackary Quackenbush; a extensio Hailey Hoffman, Aiden Hoffman and Ty Hoffman; her siblings, Marsha Clarey, Marr Etta Clarey, Tom Clarey, Deborah Welch, Michele Herzog, Margret Clarey, Delores Gale and Angela Clarey; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Tom and Margie Clarey; child, “Teddy” Quackenbush; brother -in-laws, Brad Quackenbush, Tom Welch and Don Gale.

The family is asking in lieu of flowers please make donations to the PKD Foundation in her name to honor her memory.  If you know anyone who needs a kidney you know living on dialysis is not much of a way to live.  Marlene herself donated a kidney to a very fortunate man, a man who happened to be her husband and the love of her life.
