It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mario Delgado, who departed this life on June 7, 2026 at the age of 66. Mario wore many hats husband, father, son, brother, brother in law, uncle, and his most cherished Papa. He is remembered for his humor, support, and unwavering protection for family and friends.

He was born on April 6, 1960, in Madera, Mexico. At the age of thirteen, he moved to Los Angeles and became a United States citizen in 1994, a milestone he greatly valued. Mario grew up to embody the values of integrity and dedication. After finishing his studies at Excelsior High School, he completed an electrical apprenticeship with IBEW and became a journeyman wireman, occasionally serving as a foreman for different projects. Whenever he drove somewhere, he would always mention a building, museum, mall, theater, or hospital that he had worked on.

Mario loved all things with wheels, from cars and Formula 1 races to Motorcross. Even when ill, he joined a Supercross Fantasy League, watching races weekly with family. He raced motorcycles as a young man, later involving his family in go karting. He also enjoyed WWII documentaries and books.

Mario is remembered by his spouse Patricia, children Marissa, Mitchell, Megann, grandson Ian, parents Myriam and Francisco, seven siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to carry on his legacy to live life to the fullest.

A celebration of Life Mass will be held on June 22 at 9:00 am, at Saint Dominic Savio in Bellflower, where friends and family are invited to celebrate Mario’s life. Mario will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
