Teele, Marilyn Dawn Hansted (88)

?Marilyn Teele, longtime resident of Seal Beach and Long Beach passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at home in Leisure World. Marilyn was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harry and Nora Hansted. She moved to Long Beach in her early 20s, where she met and fell in eternal love with her husband Jack Teele. They were married for 63 years, until Jack's passing in September of 2017. Marilyn and Jack lived a wonderful and charmed life to the very end. Jack was in professional football as an administrator for the Los Angeles Rams and later the San Diego Chargers. Marilyn was a homemaker and a self-proclaimed "football widow" during the many years Jack traveled and worked for the Rams and Chargers. The two of them were fortunate to travel and live in some fantastic places, including Barcelona, Spain, where Jack served as President of the Barcelona Dragons. After retirement, they settled in Mariposa, California. They built their wonderful mountain home and were blessed to enjoy and make many family memories for over 10 years. Wanting to be closer to their family and with increasing infirmities, they moved to Menifee, Ca. Jack and Marilyn finally settled close to where their precious love all began, in their final retirement community of Leisure World, Seal Beach. Marilyn and Jack had many lifelong friends and loved to get together with them, but foremost was their family. Marilyn enjoyed many charitable organizations and helped out with her daughters' lives. Marilyn was also a very artistic and talented lady. She enjoyed decorating her homes, painting, and making Christmas gifts for family and friends. Marilyn had an infectious "tee-hee" laugh that got all her family laughing along, and family will always remember her using her Norwegian language phrases..."Ya vasure, a hootin and a tootin!"

?Marilyn is survived by her two daughters, Dana Thurston McElrath and Lisa Owen, and son-in-law Rick Owen. Marilyn had five grandchildren...Brett Thurston, Bryan Thurston, Jaclyn Kennedy (Chris), Jessica Gonzales (Brian), Mallory Roe (Cody) and her first great- grandson and love of her life, Jackson Kennedy. Marilyn also has two more great- grandchildren due in June, another Baby Kennedy and a Baby Boy Gonzales. Marilyn loved her family and looked forward to Sunday dinners and all of her favorite eats! Marilyn, Mom, Nana and Great-Grandma will be greatly missed and her loving memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. We all know that Mom went to be with Dad so they can watch the Rams in the Super Bowl Game...Go Rams!

Private Services were held.
