Mariann Dulcich, a native of San Pedro, passed away at the age of 96 on January 15, 2025, in Los Alamitos, California, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; her parents, Ivan and Phyllis Pakusich; her sister, Helen Pakusich; and her grandson, Wade Mull. Mariann is survived by her brother, John Pakusich of San Pedro, and her three children: Theresa Dulcich of Long Beach, Cathy Johnson (Ron) of Garden Grove, and Anthony Jr. (Gicela) of Long Beach. She leaves three grandchildren: Ron Jr. of Torrance, Ryan Dulcich (Tanya) of Los Alamitos, and Victoria Dulcich of Fullerton. She also leaves four great-grandchildren: Phoebe Johnson, Jaxon, Ariyah, and Mason Dulcich.

Mariann was a 1946 graduate of San Pedro High School. Mariann and Anthony were married at Mary Star of the Sea Church in 1949 and shared 65 years together. A stay-at-home mom, Mariann ran the household and raised the children while Anthony was fishing on the Dolores M and later, the Western Fisher. After Anthony’s retirement from longshoring, they were fortunate to enjoy many years of RV traveling together. They relocated from San Pedro to Sonoma, California, but eventually returned to Southern California to be near family.

Mariann was active at Mary Star of the Sea Parish as a member of the Velike Gospe Jr. Society. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing the piano and singing. An excellent cook, she loved preparing meals and baking for her family.
