Marian Ahlan Ruelke
January 25, 1931 — February 9, 2021
Marian Ahlan Ruelke, “Lonnie,” passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. She is survived by her children: Rhea Mealey (Brian), Roderick Ruelke (Peggy) and Catherine Ruelke; two granddaughters: Shawna Mealey and Erika Bourne (Ross); and three great grandchildren: Ruke, Riley and Ahlana Bourne.
Lonnie was born in San Diego, CA on January 25, 1931. Her father, Lester E. McDonald was a captain in the US Navy and the family was transferred throughout the country during his life-long career. Her mother, Catherine (“Katie”) gave Lonnie a younger sister, Cathie, and a younger brother, Rod, who both reside in Southern California.
Lonnie will be buried next to her husband Franklin at the Riverside National Cemetery. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Long Beach Assistance League, an organization that Lonnie dedicated her many talents serving.
