Margie Nadalsky, 96, was born on June 8, 1922 in Los Angeles, California to Connie and Emma Angona. At the age of 20, she married Patrick McCormick. During that time, she worked as a seamstress at Bullock's department store and was the coat check girl at the local ballroom. At the age of 28, both Patrick and her mother passed away. She obtained her driver's license and went to work at Bank of America as a vault teller. Three years later, Margie married Bill and moved to Bellflower and bought their home. They quickly started their family and had five children within five years. Margie stayed home to care for her family but continued her sewing passion by making her children's matching outfits and award winning Halloween costumes. After the youngest children (the twins) started school in 1964, she started cleaning houses. Margie continued cleaning houses until the age of 75. She then began reading her Danielle Steel books and working on jigsaw puzzles. Margie lost her husband, Bill, in 2014. Her daughter, Karen, moved into the family home to care for Margie until her peaceful passing.
Margie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family. She had five children, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She always attributed her long happy life to her family.
Margie is survived by her son, Michael, and daughters, Janet Cairney, Sharon Monroe and Karen Nadalsky. She is also survived by her grand children and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill, son, Daniel, her brother, Frank, her sister Eleanor and her parents.
Margie will always be remembered by her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and her giving nature.
