Margaret "Rita" Jordan of Lakewood, California passed away at her home on Sunday, April 7th. She was 91. Rita was born on January 8th, 1927 in Belfast, Ireland to Thomas and Annie Finnegan. Both of Rita's parents passed when she was young. Rita lived with her aunts, Lizzy and Minny, until she ventured to Canada where she met and married her husband, Patrick Jordan. Rita and her family immigrated to California in 1961 where she has lived until her passing.

Rita is survived by her brother Joseph Finnegan, her four children: Eilish Gaston, Sharon Shiffer, Sean Jordan, and Colleen Edelen, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Rita was a kind and loving mother who always put the needs of others first. She will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery, Monday, April 16th, 2018.
