Louisa Priscilla Gallagher
June 10, 1921 — October 4, 2016
She was born June 10, 1921. Lou was a beloved and respected teacher in the ABC School District for twenty years. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, USC and Long Beach State. She earned a lifetime membership in the PTA. She volunteered at Rancho Los Alamitos, was a docent for the Long Beach Art Museum, member of the California Retired Teachers Association and was active in Eastern Star for 60 years.
Louisa is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Gallagher, daughters Marilou Lords, Sharon Miles, Linda Ris, grandson Tim Lords, and is survived by adult children Scott Conner, Patricia Cates, and Tom Gallagher III, grandchildren Dustin Conner, MacKenzie (Conner) Bremm, Kim Conner, Krystal Conner, Adam Ris, Lindsay Ris, Daniel Ris, and great grandchildren Nathaniel Ris, Wesley Ris, Brady Bremm, Sunny Bremm, and Ava Marie Conner and Family Members: Kerry Conner, Paul Miles, Larry Lords, Bruce Cates, Jesse Breen, Heather Conner, Brad Bowers and her caregiver, Jennifer Ceron.
The family would like to thank Jennifer Ceron for years of loving care of Thomas and Louisa and all of us. She went above and beyond to provide the best support anyone could want. She was an angel who became part of our whole family.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to St. Luke’s Episcopal. Service and reception will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Long Beach at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 23, 2016.
