Linda Louise Zimmerman passed away on June 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and unwavering love for her family and community. She will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever woven into the stories of those whose lives she touched.

Born and raised in Southern California, Linda grew up in a large Catholic family where laughter, neighborhood adventures, lifelong friendships, and strong family bonds shaped the woman she would become. She carried those values throughout her life, always believing that the greatest purpose was to care for others.

Linda devoted her career to serving people in many ways, but her true calling came through her work as a Long-Term Care Ombudsman and Regional Director, where she tirelessly advocated for seniors living in nursing homes. She believed every person deserved dignity, respect, and a voice, and she inspired hundreds of volunteers and professionals to carry that mission forward.

Above all else, Linda cherished her family. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Gary, and together they built a home filled with laughter, music, traditions, and unconditional love. Their daughters, Stevie and Holly, were the center of her world, and becoming a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy. Whether gathering everyone for Christmas, cheering from the audience at performances, or simply spending time together, Linda found her greatest happiness surrounded by those she loved.

Linda will be remembered for the kindness she extended, the people she championed, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the family she treasured, the lives she touched, and the countless acts of compassion she inspired.

Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Linda's life on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Long Beach. The church service will be followed by a procession to Forest Lawn Cypress for burial, with a reception afterward at Christ Lutheran Church. All who knew and loved Linda are welcome to join us for food, fellowship, music, and the sharing of cherished memories as we honor a life so beautifully lived.
