Sue was born on Thanksgiving Day in Los Angeles, California. As a young adult she attended Bishop Conaty High School located in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. After graduation Sue chose to join the Catholic order of the Sisters of Mercy. Although she decided to leave the order prior to becoming fully professed, her years with the "Mercys" instilled in her a lifelong commitment to social justice issues and a profound love of the "underdog" among us.

After a small teaching stint in Germany she eventually settled into a 40 year career as an educator with LAUSD and spent many years teaching young students at schools including Castle Heights Elementary.

During and after concluding her career, Sue embarked on many adventures. She was a nature enthusiast and enjoyed sailing, camping and fishing. She was an avid reader who tackled three or four books at a time. She learned to bowl and play cards. She was a bit of a pool shark also! She loved music and took many dance classes. She loved dancing so much that she was affectionately dubbed the "Dancing Queen".

Sue eventually moved from the Westside of Los Angeles to Long Beach. There she joined a small social community and quickly found her niche while becoming its perfect ambassador of caring and hospitality.

Despite more than her share of obstacles, Sue led a life of determination and demonstrated enormous resilience.

Sue joins her beloved Mother, Chickie in eternal peace.

She leaves an abundance of family and close friends who will one day join her, including her brothers Gary and Ron, her sister Helen and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
