Linda Carol Jensen
March 7, 1950 — June 1, 2025
Linda Carol Jensen (75) was born in a small town, Lexington Nebraska to (Marlin) Vaun Miller and Catherine Rose Miller. Her father was a railroad employee and they moved often but settled and graduated in Gothenburg Nebraska in 1968.
A child of the 1960's, an era of great change for women, and a strict and controlling childhood, she decided to spread her wings in Long Beach, California in 1969 when she came with a group of college friends and decided with another friend to stay awhile.
Finding her way was not easy but she was determined to make her own way. She met her future husband, Ronald Jensen, in 1971 when he and his U.S. Navy shipmates rented an apartment in the same building as hers.
It was a year of building a friendship before they started dating in 1972, and married in 1973. They spent over 52 years of marriage sharing 2 wonderful children, Mathew Jensen and Denise Jensen. Quiet by nature, she had a strong work ethic, balanced by a truly loving soul. She worked in accounting for American President Lines, member of Longshore Office Clerical Union Local 63 for over 35 years retiring in 2013.
She reveled in family activities in her spare time, learned how to camp and enjoy the great outdoors from her husband. volunteering in all the soccer, baseball, softball, scouting and finding time to enjoy antiquing and making a home she could find peace in her gardening.
She leaves behind friends and neighbors and a legacy of kindness and gentleness with all who knew her. Survived by her husband, Ronald Jensen, son Mathew Jensen, and daughter Denise Jensen.
Preceded in death by her parents (M) Vaun Miller and Catherine Miller and brother Donald Miller.
