Linda Ortega Ahumada

January 2, 1930 – August 5, 2021

Our beloved mother passed with grace to be with the Lord.  Her 91 years on this earth were filled with many memories.  She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, crafting and was an avid, highly skilled tole painter. She loved good times at family gatherings.  Her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was the light of her life. She was a dedicated and active member of St. Cyprian Parish. She enjoyed her friendships at The Grove retirement home.

She was born in Los Angeles, California to Trinidad and Senaida Ortega, the oldest of 10 children. Linda is survived by her children Terry Battle of Chico, Frank Ahumada (Valerie) of Long Beach, Ed Ahumada (Sherry) of Lakewood, Larry Ahumada (Shirley) of Chico, Phil Ahumada (Lisa) of Lakewood; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers Trinidad Ortega and Mac Ortega, Sister Christine Preciado.  She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; her husband Frank Ahumada of 44 years.  She was a loving and doting mother, grandmother, and G.G. who will always be in our hearts.

Services will be held on September 3, 2021, at St. Cyprian Church, 4741 Clark Ave., Long Beach, interment immediately following at Forest Lawn, 4471 Lincoln Ave., Cypress.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boys Town.  Condolences may be sent to www.luybendilday.com .  Services under the direction of Luyben Dilday Mortuary
