Leonor Zendejas Flores

Our Mother, Leonor Zendejas Flores, at the age of 86 was reunited with her loving mother, Felicidad M. Garcia, husband Bienvenido Flores of Puerto Rico, daughter Rosa M. Salcedo, grandson Ricky Flores Jr., and great granddaughter Aniya Flores.  She went to them peacefully in her sleep.

Leonor was born February 20, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a fiercely proud Texan.  Bienvenido brought her to Downey, California where she resided for 60 years. Her home was known as the “Kool-Aid” house offering cool refreshments on hot summer days to the neighborhood kids.  Her home was always open to anyone who needed a meal or to feel safe and protected.

She is survived by her children, Mary Luna, JR Flores, Inez “Nessie” Lopez, and Ricardo Flores; her grandchildren, Adrienne Luna, Steven Luna, Stella Salcedo, Steven Salcedo Jr., Max Flores, Milinda Flores, Anthony Bernardino, Daniel Flores, Paul Flores, and Kristina Flores; her great grandchildren, Raelyn Guttierez, Michael Guttierez, Christopher Guttierez, Isaac Lacy, Leila Breshers, Isaiah Santiago, Soraya Santiago, Sierra Santiago, Jessica Ornelas, Brianna Salcedo, Jacob Salcedo, Steven E. Salcedo, Gabriel Perez, Alexis Perez, Isabella Flores, Viviana Flores, Samuel Flores, Serenity Flores, Angel Canez, Aaliyah Bernardino, Kash Bernardino, and Gio Bernardino; and her great great grandchildren, Mia Rose Hinohosa, Joseph Hinohosa, and Max Toriz.
