Leo Henry Poissant of Long Beach California, passed away on Sunday May 10th at the age of 84. He was born in Lowell, MA, the son of the Late Gedeon and Yvonne Poissant and the loving and caring husband of Teresa (Dessert) Poissant. Leo served in the United States Navy as a corpsman during the Korean War. Leo AKA "Curbcrusher" Poissant, was an Engineer for the Long Beach Fire Department for 27 years. After retiring, Leo and Teresa loved to travel and took some amazing trips throughout the United States and Europe. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Teresa; 5 children and 11 grandchildren; Dan (Mary), Diane and Lauren; Tim (Lisa), Janell, Courtney and Margo; Marty (Mina), Andre and Luc; Roger (Stacy), Hudson, Townsen and Chad; Monique and Payton. Also survived by 4 siblings; Claire Lamy, Theresa Griffith, Gerard Poissant and Irene Vanderwell. Special thanks to our neighbor and friend, Mary Jo Corriere who helped our Dad tremendously. She has become a special part of our family.
