LeAndrea Rochelle Jones was born on February 14th, 1971 to Brenda Joyce Jones and Louis McShan in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Brookside. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She also took her Bible with her everywhere she went. She was deep into the Word and loved her Lord and Savior.
In late 1993 at Trade Tech College, LeAndrea met a man named Carliose Lane and married soon after. From this union, their daughter, Taylor Ja’Nelle Jones Lane was born. While married to Carliose, she was a member of First Timothy Missionary Baptist Church. During her time as a member, she taught various lessons of the Bible to the teenage girls of the church and started a mentoring group for them as well. In addition to teaching the Word of God, she completed the newsletter for the church in 2000 entitled “The First Timothy Tribune.” She faithfully served in these positions until her departure from the church as a member.
Years later, in 2005, LeAndrea met Gregory Barnes and from that union, a daughter, Delana Morgan Barnes was born.
In her professional career, she worked in social services extensively. Her career in this field spanned over twenty years. For the past five years, she served as the Social Services Director for Country Villa North Rehabilitation Center.
When LeAndrea wasn’t working with her patients, she enjoyed completing word-search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading novels, and crocheting blankets and scarfs. She was always eager to learn and loved to write.
Her mother, Brenda Joyce Jones and grandmother, Ruby May Boone preceded her in death.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Taylor Lane and Delana Barnes, son, Jarrell Jones, sister, Synisha Jones, brother, Terrell Jones, her favorite uncle, Billy Jones, best friend and confidant, Felecia Brown, and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
