Laura Jean Kern

Laura Jean Sadler Kern, 85 of Lakewood, California died September 11, 2017. She is known as a kind, genuine lady. She held several roles throughout her life and had many positions of leadership and spiritual teaching. She was a Relief Society President, Primary President, Young Woman's President, and Cub Scout leader and teacher. She was an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband William Louis Kern, and her children and their spouses, Michael Lewis Tippetts and his wife Sharon, Bruce Duval Tippetts, Constance Jean Tippetts and her husband Scott Crapenhoft, James Arnold Kern and his wife Sheryl, Mark Dennis Tippetts, Cynthia Ann Kern and her husband Mike O'Brien, Karen Del Tippetts and her husband Benny Graves, Joe Ann Renee Kern and her husband Bruce Chapman, and Debora Kay Kern and her husband Mitch Hansen. She is also survived by her sister Sharon Sadler Harris, and her brother Stephen Sadler. She is the mother of 9, the grandmother of 27 and the great grandmother of 45.
