Larry "Ben" Carr

Larry “Ben” Benjamin Carr, 61, of Yorba Linda, California, passed away peacefully at Kaiser Anaheim Hospital on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from congestive heart failure and renal failure. Ben was born on April 24, 1964, in Tulare, California, to Larry Dean and Patricia Ann (Waller) Carr. Ben’s father was serving in the Army in Korea when Ben was born, and met Ben nearly 6 months later.

Ben graduated from Bell Gardens High School, graduated from Claremont McKenna College, earned his CPA certificate, CIA certificate, and an MBA. Ben loved all things financial. He enjoyed talking to anyone about saving and the best current CD rates, often while doing income taxes. Ben worked for the Federal Government with the Department of Defence for over 31 years, as well as an accountant and tax preparer for at least 30 years.

Ben joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1995 and served in many callings. Ben joined the Freemasons in 2000, earned the Hyram award, and was the treasurer for 24 years.

Ben married Deborah Kathleen Carr in 1996, and they raised 4 beautiful daughters. Melissa, Emilee (Mitchell), Allison (Caleb), and Juliana. Ben’s beloved dog, Chewy, was never more than an arm’s length away.
