Lana Spigner

Lana Spigner was born in Long Beach California on July 23rd, 1951 to Domingo and Celia Deleon. She was the oldest of 4 siblings, Steve Deleon, Mark Deleon, and Lorraine Welty.

Lana graduated from Millikan High School in 1969. She would soon marry her husband John Spigner whom she was married to for 44 years until he passed in 2017. Together they had 3 children, Jeff 43, Jennifer 39, Michelle 39, and step daughter Chris Nelson 52. Her Grandkids included: Brittany Nelson 27, Cydney Nelson 23, Bradyn Nelson 19, Breanna Minton 19, Trevor Vieira 13, Brooke Vieira 12, and Ava Spigner 6.

She later went on to work for AARP in Long Beach for almost 20 years During that time she formed friendships with many of her coworkers.

Lana devoted all of her time to her family. She had a very close bond with all of her grandchildren. She was a very gracious and caring woman. Her main goal in life was to make sure her family remain close and continue traditions.

After retiring, Lana’s favorite activities included going to the casinos with her cousins, watching her grandchildren play sports, taking summer vacations with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and making her famous Sunday dinners for the family every week.

Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 11am at Lakewood Village Community Church located at 4515 Sunfield Ave. Long Beach California 90808. Reception to immediately follow at 2344 Roycroft Ave., Long Beach, CA 90815.
