?Judy Ann Beck was born June 18th 1941 in Toledo Ohio. Her wonderful parents Walter Stuart Beck passed about 5 years ago, but her loving Mother Virginia Olive Beck, almost 99 years old still resides in Leisure World.
At the age of four, along came her baby Brother Larry. Growing up in the Beck house was much like the TV show Father knows best. It was your typical loving family, with a little Brother to pick on her. She enjoyed her early years living in Ohio, even though every winter you had to bundle all up for the walk to school, with an occasional dodging of a snow ball. The summers were the most fun spent playing outside with all her friends. She would run back and forth to all of her friend's houses, since there were no fences. When it was time for dinner her Dad would whistle and that meant it was time to come home or you know what.
The family had a Cocker Spaniel named Corky. Which was loved by everyone. Many days Judy spent time in the basement playing her upright piano, which brought her much joy.
At the age of eleven Judy's parents decided to move California, a place they visited often. This meant that their dog Corky would have a new home with a neighbor friend and that piano that Judy loved to play was too big to bring to California. Judy being broken hearted announced to her parents that she wasn't coming to California with them. She wanted to stay with Corky and was going to tie herself to the piano.
Never the less, Judy came to California, not really minding to leave that winter snow. The family moved into a brand new house in Long Beach, California.
Judy as a teen went to Millikan High School, where she had many friends. She was in a sorority called TABO. This is where she meant her husband Thomas Alan Bostian. She graduated in 1959.
On June 25, 1960 she married Thomas Alan Bostian. And one year later, June 11, 1961, she gave birth to a new baby girl Wendy Ann Bostian. Judy and Tom spent their first year anniversary with a new baby girl. Two kids with a kid. Judy spent her early years as a stay at home mom, while she dabbled in a little this and that trying to make some extra money for the family. She painted, sewed, etc...She was always fighting for a cause. She was a strong democrat and the day Kennedy was assassinated, she never left that TV for days. On January 30, 1971 along came a second daughter Jenny Noel Bostian. The cutest baby you ever saw. She brought much joy to the family.
As the girls were gowning up Judy started taking an interest in writing music. Her dream was to write a hit song. And then later on she got into poetry and even had a couple poems published.
Soon after Judy left her husband and met a new guy named Denny M. Manning and they fell in Love and were Married on December 14, 1985. . Judy and Denny were inseparable. They did everything togetherThey bought a house in Long Beach and have been together ever since then...
