Judith “Judy” Ann Marmion was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world on April 20, 2024.

She was born to Boyce and Katherine Bower in Michigan, in 1940. At a very young age her parents moved from Michigan to Southern California.

Judy attended Long Beach schools, graduating from Poly High School, where she met her husband of 65 years, Robert “Bob” Marmion.

In 1962, Bob and Judy decided it was time to look for a house. They purchased a home in Lakewood. She often said she would not move her family around, making her children change schools like she had to do, so often. True to her word, she lived in that house until she passed away (where Bob still lives).

She was a dedicated Christian. She was active in her church, served on many committees, and was always offering her help however it was needed.

Judy loved spending time in the kitchen. She was an exceptional cook. She enjoyed baking and creating delicious meals for her family. Everyone especially looked forward to the holidays, knowing Judy would have a kitchen stocked with homemade goodies.

Judy was not only a great cook, but she was a talented seamstress, she loved to read, she always had a jigsaw puzzle going, she loved getting a compliment on her hair (usually by some stranger in the grocery store, really), she enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays, she loved going out with Bob for their monthly Mexican food, she loved playing the poker slots, she ironed everything she wore, her home was always visitor-ready, she could have wrote a cookbook with all her recipes, and she loved and cherished her family immensely.

Judy touched so many lives in so many ways thru her 83 years of life. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Jean and Becky (Greg), son, Marc (Stacy); grandchildren Katie, Kellie, Kamryn, Jacob, and Jon; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Iva, Janet (Glade), and Georgia (Tony), a brother, Ed (Nancy); and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held to honor the life of Judy on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at 1:00pm at Lakewood Village Community Church (4515 Sunfield Ave, Long Beach, CA 90808)."
