Joyce Theresa Ortiz

With heavy hearts we announce the Passing of Joyce Ortiz. Joyce was a mother, daughter, grandmother, wife, niece aunt and friend to many.

Born in New Mexico, she moved to Southern California in her teenage years where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles.

She later married and had two children. She then attended Cal State Los Angeles where she obtained a degree in Liberal Arts, and later a Masters Degree at Pepperdine University. She spent over 50 years as a Teacher, Principal and administrator in the Lynwood Unified School District. Her joy for life love of family and dedication to promoting educational excellence in children will be missed. She was a positive role model and advocate of self betterment.

This is not a goodbye, but a hello to eternal peace and life everlasting.
