Joseph Hall was born on February 21, 1951 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Joseph grew up in a rural community where opportunities were often limited.  Joseph received Christ at an early age.

Throughout his life, he faced significant challenges due to a mental condition that required ongoing care. Despite these hardships Joseph found solace in music. His favorite artist and songs were Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock and Love Me Tender. With a quiet spot, a pair of headphones, and his favorite songs playing, he could find moments of peace and contentment.

Joseph lived with his parents in Louisiana until their death. In 1985 Joseph’s  brother relocated him to California.  Joseph spent his last 20 years at Artesia Palms Care Center (formerly named Windsor Palms, and Twin Palms Care Center) in Artesia, California.

For most of his adult life, Joseph resided in nursing homes where he received care and support.  Although life was not easy, those who knew him will remember the joys that brought him comfort.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Emmett Hall, Sr., his sister Annie Ruth Nash, and brother Lonnie Hall. He is survived by his brother Emmett Hall Jr, sister-in-law Willa Hall, a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends.
