Joseph Matthew Farrell

August 23, 1970 - October 16, 2026

Joseph Matthew Farrell passed away on October 16, 2026 at St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, CA.

Joseph was born and raised in Long Beach. He was the youngest of Joseph and Barbara Farrell's seven children.

During Joe's lifetime he touched many hearts with his charming personality. Joe graduated from the special education program at Millikan High School and led an active life in adult programs through Harbor Regional. Each year Joe participated in the Special Olympics at Cal State Long Beach. He was a competitive athlete and won may medals over the years.

Joe's greatest accomplishment was the love he gave to others. You truly felt special when greeted by Joe.

Now , he is at peace in the care of his Lord, whom he worshipped during his lifetime.

He is survived by his sisters: Debra Hinze, Mary Cronin, brother Mark Farrell, uncle Mike Wythe and a large extended family and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at the Luyben Dilday Mortuary in Long Beach on November 19, 2026 at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be held at All Soul's Cemetery following the service.
