John Lee Spigner
October 26, 1947 — December 17, 2017
John Spigner was born in Long Beach California in 1947. Son to Dorothea and Rufus Spigner. He is survived by his Brother Michael Spigner, and preceded in death by his Sister Cathy Crary.
John was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, where he would marry his wife Lana Spigner and raise four children, Christina Nelson, Jeffrey Spigner, Jennifer Vieira, and Michelle Spigner. John had seven grandchildren Brittany Nelson, Cydney Nelson, Bradyn Nelson, Breanna Minton, Trevor Vieira, Brooke Vieira, and Ava Spigner.
After graduating from Lakewood High School, he would eventually be employed by Exxon Mobil where he would make many friends and have a successful 30 year career.
After retirement, John would enjoy taking trips to Las Vegas, where he could normally be found on a black jack table. He also enjoyed rooting on the Dodgers and spoiling his grandkids with candy from his secret stash.
John passed away peacefully on Sunday December 17th, 2017.
