John D. Murra
John D. Murra, born Feb. 11, 1923 in Buffalo Center, Iowa, passed away at age 93 on March 24, 2016, in Los Alamitos CA. As a young man he served in the Army for 2 years. He moved with his family from Iowa in 1959, to Long Beach, CA, where he lived for over 50 years. He was retired from the Long Beach Gas Dept. where he worked for 25 years. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Hively and son-in-law, Stuart Hively; daughter, Janice Morse and son-in-law, Larry Morse, along with five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Grace, Arlene, Maryann and brother, Arnie. Memorial Service to be held Saturday April 9, 2016 at 12pm, at Arbor Rd. Church, 5336 Arbor Rd., Long Beach, CA 90808, (562) 420-1471.
