Jim Edwards
April 1, 1946 — October 24, 2016
James Francis Edwards was born April 1, 1946 in Green Bay, WI to Millie and Bud Edwards. Jim graduated from Premontre High School, an all-boys Catholic school in 1964. He worked at Moore business forms where he met his future wife Anne. They met because she popped her gum, he asked her to stop and of course, that was a reason for her to do it even more. Jim and Anne moved to California in 1969. He began his career at the Arco Oil Refinery and over time, became a well-respected Instrument Technician. After working there 37 years, he retired in June of 2006. Jim was a talented woodworker, a talent he passed to his grandson Zach. A few of the projects he made were trucks, trains, and a sailboat. If a neighbor came over with a broken chair or anything that needed repair, he was always ready to help. His hobbies included fishing and collecting coins/US currency. He also loved going to casinos where he always “broke even”. Jim and Anne traveled to China, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico and Morocco. Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending time in Green Bay at the farm. Sitting on the porch and deck were his favorite times with their dog Lily. He is survived by his wife Anne, their daughter Michelle, her two boys Alex and Zach, their son Mark, his wife Marsha and their two girls Audrey and Kate, and his brother Dick and his wife Patti. Jim was blessed with the love and respect of many brothers and sisters in law and too many nieces and nephews to name, how fortunate is that? He was preceded in death by both of his parents Millie and Bud and his sister Pat.
