Jeff was born here in Lakewood on October 24, 1953. He was the third of Bob and LaVonne Lieb’s six children; Michael, Kathy, Jeff, Marshall, Roberta, Bridget. He went to St. Pancratius school from 1st to 8th grade and then to Paramount High. After high school, he went into the Army for 2 years where he barely escaped being sent to Vietnam because he was too young. After the Army, he went to Long Beach State College to learn Property Management, of which he made a 23-year career. He loved music and learned to play the guitar, read music and even wrote lots of his own songs.
He was always interested in how things worked and learned how to do many repair and maintenance jobs. This ability and knowledge served him well in his Property Management career and also in his personal life. He was very protective, loving and giving not only to his immediate family but also to his girlfriend of 23 years, her 2 children and grandson and to all his friends. He seemed to know at least a little bit about everything and a whole lot about a lot of things.
We will miss his cheerful smile and wonderful sense of humor.
