Jeffrey Lee Beglinger died January 6, 2024, at the age of 69 in Cerritos, CA, after a battle with terminal cancer.
Jeff is survived by his three children, Michelle, Tyler, and Caitlin. He was preceded in death by his mother Erma, father Jack, and brothers Jeremy, James, Jay, and Jack.
Jeff was born in Albany, CA and grew up in Santa Rosa. He graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1972 and then went on to serve in the US Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant, Advanced Auto Mechanic from 1972 to 1979. For over 30 years, Jeff was a member of the Local 12 Operating Engineers Union and worked as a Crane Operator. He worked on many projects all over the country; from building the Las Vegas skyline, wind farms in Colorado, oil fields in the Dakotas, and power poles all over California.
He built a legacy not only visible for all to see but also in the hearts of the people he worked with over his many years in the industry. Jeff had a simple way of explaining what he did, “You pick stuff up and you lower stuff down.” At the end of his life, Dad wanted to let everyone know that “he made it.”
A celebration of life will be held on February 3, 2024, Noon, at the Centre in Lakewood, CA.
