Our amazing mom and angel on earth is now our angel in Heaven. Jeanne' was born in Arlington, Nebraska on December 19, 1924 to her parents, Julian Jungbluth and Nettie Williams-Jungbluth. She was the youngest of four children and the only daughter. Mom was born in the 'white' bedroom in the stately farmhouse down the road from Arlington. She attended the local one room school house and would ride her horse to and from. The Depression years were difficult but her family was strong. When WWII started, mom worked as a secretary at the Glenn L. Martin Company in Omaha, NE where they manufactured B-29 Superfortresses. She remembers being told that a special aircraft was being assembled there and that it would change history. They weren't told at the time what the purpose or mission of the Enola Gay would be, although they were soon to find out. Both mom's parents passed away after the war was over and she decided she wanted to leave Nebraska and see the world. Mom got a job with United Airlines as a reservationist in their Omaha office. Soon after, she took a job transfer to Los Angeles and the world was hers. She loved being able to lay on the beach one day and be snow skiing the next day. She traveled extensively with a group of like minded, fun loving friends. She also enjoyed doing charity work and it was while volunteering for The Blind Guild of LA, that she met her husband, William (Bill) Feck. They were married in 1964 and soon after, bought their home in Long Beach where mom had still resided. Their 3 children, Julie, Patti and Rick were born soon after. Mom retired from United Airlines after 11 years, when the children were born. When her kids were young, mom started watching some other children in the neighborhood and her 2nd career began. She did child care from her home for 45 years and retired at the age of 80 only because Bill and her brother, Dick needed more of her help. Mom was always there to help others and was that way till the very end. Her kindness and caring nature were well known in our neighborhood and mom was well loved by the many families with whom she cared for their children. Mom spent a lot of time with the children and her grandchildren in Wardlow Park, so as a tribute to her, a bench was dedicated to her for her 80th birthday and can be found in the 'tot lot' area of the park. There are many stories of the fun adventures mom took us all on and always, with a sparkle in her eye. She loved being with children and so, of course, she was an amazing Grandmother to all 5 of her grandkids who love and miss her dearly. Mom passed away at the age of 90 after a brief hospitalization. She has now joined our dad, Bill (deceased in 2009), as well as all her brothers in heaven. She is survived by her children, Julie Snow (Bob), Patti Rowe (Chris) and Rick (Martine), as well as her 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, Woody, Mason, Patrick and Jack. Also, a very special thank you to Mom's caregiver MariTess and her daughters, Jamie and Isabella for watching over our mom. A hole is left in our hearts that we will fill with all of our fun memories and special times with mom.

Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 5500 E. Wardlow Rd., Long Beach, CA 90808.
