Janis Lynn Hollister (Tripp) was born July 11, 1960 in Los Angeles. Her parents Ella Mae and Robert A. Tripp, Jr. of Lakewood, CA adopted two children, a son Robert A. Tripp, III and a daughter, Janis Lynn Tripp. Janis attended Gompers Elementary, Bancroft Jr. High, and Lakewood High School graduating in 1978. She worked as a secretary for many years in Downey, CA. Janis married Gregory Hollister on October 2, 1993 and moved to the Hollister family home in Westminster, CA where they resided for 20 years until Greg's passing on February 11, 2013. Janis remained in the home until she moved to Los Alamitos in 2015. Janis was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes that she lived with for many years and ultimately resulted in kidney failure. Janis passed away on January 23, 2019.  She was 58 years old.  As Janis' mother, father, and brother predeceased her, she is survived by her nephews, Brandon Tripp and Travis Tripp, and niece, Lindsay Tripp.
