Janene M. Larson

With profound sadness  we announce the passing of Janene, our loving and devoted mother, on November 30, 2019, after a heroic battle with cancer that ended at her residence in Long Beach, California. She was in her 81 ^st year.

Born in Los Angeles, California on July 13, 1938 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Campbell.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Larry by 30 years.

Mom found more than adequate love in her sons, Mike who predeceased her in 2014, Scott and his wife Kay (Jacksonville, FL), and Mark and his wife Dawn (San Diego), and in her three granddaughters Bonnie, Jenowa and Breann and her 3 great grandchildren Makayla, Tayler and Ryan.

Her siblings Robert Campbell and Kathleen Campbell have been strong supports for Mom throughout life and through her ongoing battles with cancer.  She was predeceased recently by her brother Timothy Campbell.  Her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews brought joy and delight to her life.

Mom was truly blessed in her relationship with her cousin Ken Hanson and his family; wife Cathy, children Ryan and Robyn along with Robyn’s husband Chris and their new arrivals Harper and Reagan, all who hold a special place in mom’s heart and cared for her throughout the good times and the bad.

We would be remiss to overlook the reason for mom’s longevity in spite of her diagnosis 28 years ago.  Known as the Tennis Gang by some, Gal Pals by others, Mom had cultivated many wonderful and true friends over the years through her tennis activities at El Dorado Park.  Thank you, Ladies.

The family requests donations be made in support of cancer research, in lieu of sending flowers.
