Jan Herrera

Our mom, Jan Herrera, passed away peacefully on the early morning of April 17, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to Southern California as a child with her parents. She grew up in Hollywood and loved nothing more than walking along Hermosa Beach with the sand between her toes. She married and raised a family in Lakewood. After retirement from the Long Beach VA Medical Center, she moved to Virginia Beach to be closer to her children. We are comforted knowing that mom has been reunited with her mom, Wilma, her sister, Rosemary, and her son, Eduardo.

In lieu of flowers, Jan’s family requests memorial donations be made to St. Cyprian Parish School, 5133 E. Arbor Rd, Long Beach, CA 90808.
