James Louis Zalaco

James Louis Zalaco passed away on April 11, 2022. Born in Los Angeles, California on September 14, 1948, to Joseph and Patricia Zalaco. James worked with his father starting at the age of 14 repairing new and used stoves in residential areas, which lead to repairing commercial stoves and ovens. James had a true gift in his ability to work with his hands. He was known for his good looks, witty comments, and the knack to fix anything broken without hesitation. He enjoyed family time, home cooked meals, and working in his hobby shop. In his free time, he enjoyed attending and participating in car shows and racing drag boats in Laughlin with his friends. After he retired, he built model airplanes and battleships with sincere passion. James is survived by his son, Joseph (Lisa); his grandchildren, Taylor and Vincent; his sisters, Madeline Starina (Bill) and Rosemarie Gosano (Eduardo); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He will truly be missed.
