Frank was the older bother to three sisters. As and athlete and a scholar, he earned a scholarship to Jamestown College where he studied Chemistry and Mathematics, and went on to earn his Master's Degree (University of Maryland at College Park) and Ph.D. in Engineering (California Western University). He was married to Kathleen "Kitty" Smith for over 50 years until her passing in 2002. He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Wagner Stein and Terri Wagner Cammarano, and three grandchildren : Matthew Stein, Ellen Cammarano, and Marlon Cammarano. He was an avid golfer, and after retiring from over 30 years as a Senior Engineer at Honeywell, became a volunteer on the Rules Committee of the Southern California Golf Association. He spent many years as an active member and regional officer of Toastmasters International. He could fix anything, was the master of the pun, and never met a dog he did not like. He passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 96 on December 23, 2016.
