Ida Rose Brunasso

Ida Brunasso passed peacefully into her heavenly life surrounded by family in her home on May 12 at the age of 94. She was a woman of faith, believed in the power of prayer, especially the Rosary, and always put her family first. Her happiest times were those spent with family. She enjoyed the simple things in life: picnic birthday celebrations, family BBQs, annual end-of-summer beach trips and the beauty of nature. Her favorite hobby was gardening and she could get even a stick to bloom! In her later years she took up Rummikub and word search puzzles. She could cook for an army and there was always “room for one more” at her table. Her humility, quiet service and perpetually positive nature are values she passed on to her family. She is survived by 11 children, 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 caregivers; she was predeceased by Mario, her husband of 55 years, and a grandson. Visitation May 20, 4-7, Vigil 7-8 at Luyben Dilday Mortuary; Funeral Mass May 21, 10:00 St. Maria Goretti Church.
