Guadalupe "Tito" Guillen

Guadalupe "Tito" Guillen passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, in Orange, California, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 26, 1955, in San Pedro, California, Tito lived a life dedicated to faith, family, service, and community.

Tito proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1975 to 1978. Following his military service, he worked at Rockview Farms, served as a Staff Assistant at Paramount High School, and spent ten years with the California Youth Authority.

For more than 40 years, Tito devoted his time to coaching and mentoring youth through PJAA Baseball, Paramount Youth Football, and Paramount NJB Basketball. He also coached at Paramount High School, Bellflower High School, and Calvary Chapel Downey, and volunteered as equipment and support staff for St. John Bosco Football. His dedication to young athletes left a lasting impact on generations of families throughout the community.

Above all, Tito was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared more than 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lydia, and was a proud father to Jesse, Janelle, and Nicole. His greatest joy was being "Papa" to his grandchildren—Marcus, Chris, Janae, Kevin "Bubba," Elijah, and Kylie. He cherished every opportunity to support and celebrate his family.

Tito will be remembered for his warm smile, wonderful sense of humor, love of music, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He touched countless lives through his kindness, encouragement, and example of selfless service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sara Guillen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Guillen; his children, Jesse (Meztli), Janelle, and Nicole; his grandchildren, Marcus, Chris, Janae, Kevin "Bubba," Elijah, and Kylie; his siblings, Ralph, Liz, and Robby; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, former players, and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
