Glenn Allen Geoffroy, of Rossmoor Ca, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday March 29th, 2018. He was blessed to have his children and grandchildren at his side.Glenn was born to Rosalie and Ernest Geoffroy on July 15th 1944 in Los Angeles Ca. It is reported that he was so small that he slept in a drawer for the first few months of his life. Strange because he ended up being 6”9” tall.Glenn was raised in Lakewood Ca where he attended local schools and graduated from Mayfair High School in 1962. In High School Glenn played trumpet in a band called the “Invistas”. He graduated for Cerritos College with a degree in Graphic Arts. From a young age Glenn enjoyed working on cars at first helping his father in the family garage. He then moved on working on many cars including his 57 Chevy and ultimately his beloved Red Porsche. His love for cars moved him in the direction of the automotive industry. First working for local gas stations then dealerships including: R.O Gould and M.F. Salta. He retired from Salta in 2001 when he first became ill.Glenn was part of “Team Gladys” …. this was a small group of guys who worked on the “special” cars in a small garage on Gladys Street in Long Beach. These days and evenings were often followed by an outing to Joe’s Josts down the street. Glenn also had an opportunity to work on a couple of race cars.Glenn was super supportive of his family...attending multiple sporting and theater performance events, working snack bars, driving here and there and dancing with his daughters at their presentations.Glenn passed away peacefully and gracefully like the man that he was. He is survived by his wife (Surina). His children Erik Geoffroy (Kacee), Shawna Geoffroy, Lindsay Mantell (Jared) and Kristin Strong (Jeff). He is also looking down from above and keeping an eye on his grandchildren: Capri, Peyton Aki, Calvin, Kendall and Silas.Glenn will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and cousin. He befriended all and held no animosity towards anyone.Preceding Glenn is death were his parents (Ernest and Rosalie Geoffroy) , his in laws (Mient and Suzanne de Jong) his brother and wife (Franklin and Connie Geoffroy) and his nephew (Dana Geoffroy). You will be missed and the hole you have left our hearts is huge.
