Gilbert Gaska, husband of Josephine and father of Diana, Gib Jr. and Steve, was nothing short of an accomplished man. He led an adventurous life raising his family in Lakewood, California where they spent summers riding dirt bikes, fishing in local ponds and camping in nearby state & national parks. During his younger years, Gilbert served in the U.S. Army where he traveled and fought in the Korean War. After his time in the Military he found himself soon embracing his artistic abilities in the workforce. Gilbert held many talents and was involved in several recognized achievements, including participating in the design and fabrication of the B-2 Stealth Bomber and the Tahiti ski boat. Gilbert possessed a true passion for sports, whether it involved his regular visits to Lakewood Country Club to play golf, or simply watching football on TV – But one of his biggest joys was to watch his grandchildren play soccer, football and ice hockey. Additionally, Gilbert had a love for music which was something that he got to share closely with one of his grandsons. Gilbert was notorious for being far too humble, and never wanting to stake claim on all his accomplishments – but today, our family recognizes and acknowledges all the good & success he has brought into our world. We thank him for leading a great example for all of us – He will forever be in our hearts and will be sorely missed.
