Geraldine Mae Roux

Geraldine (Gerry) Mae Roux, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 16, 2018. She was 85. Born February 7, 1933 in Huron, South Dakota to Jake and Susie Pullman, she was a long time resident of Laguna Woods, CA and in her later years attended Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo, CA.

Gerry was a small business owner, owning her own preschool, Gerry’s Kiddy Kastle, until she retired in 1993.

She married Wayne Roux on August 31, 1984. He preceded her in death, entering into glory on January 7, 2009. Along with Wayne she was a member of Gideons International serving the Lord in making the Word of God available to everyone.

Her strong desire was to make every facet of her life one that was pleasing to the Lord Jesus and to be a godly parent. She loved the scriptures and read the bible daily. Faithfully she began each morning with prayer and prayed for the salvation of her children, grandchildren, and others.

She received great pleasure when participating in any activity that included one or all of her children and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and studying and discussing her Mennonite heritage, a love she passed on to her children.

Gerry is survived by her four children, son Stephen Fabarez and his wife Debbie; daughters Dianna Salgado and her husband Gus, Carol Rendon and her husband Ab, Darla Brink and her husband Douglas; eight grandchildren, Matthew Williams (wife Stacy), Adam Fabarez (wife Amber), Lindsey Fabarez, Gina Fabarez, Aaron Brink, Ian Brink, Kailey Rendon and Mallory Rendon. In addition she has seven great-grandchildren and her eighth great-grandchild, a boy, is due to Adam and Amber this July. She is also survived by her dear younger sister Nancy (Pullman) Barnes, nephew Allen Barnes (wife Heidi) and niece Laurie Barnes.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on June 27, 2018 at Luyen Dilday Mortuary in Long Beach, CA. Her nephew Allen Barnes will officiate.
