Gabriel Gonzales was born on April 30, 1963. The oldest of 3 siblings, raised in Wilmington, California and spent many years in San Pedro. Gabriel graduated from Banning High School and obtained his B.A. from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Gabriel was a Navy veteran where he served as corpsman. Gabriel was a member of the ILWU Local 13 and Local 63 for over 20 years where he recently worked as a vessel planner. In addition to Gabes numerous achievements he became an ordained minister in 2010. In 2015 Gabriel married Gail Lau-Gonzales. Together they enjoyed fellowship with their church, traveling and living life to the fullest. Gabriel’s exuberance for life touched us all. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him .
