Frank Milton Williams, 81, passed away on Sunday, December 13 in Orange County. He was the husband of Rosalinda Williams. They shared 30 blissful years together.
Born in Swainsboro, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Annie May and Ivey Williams.
He is survived by his wife Rosalinda Williams, his children; Michele Langley (Tim), Lynn Pomaville, Suzette Wilson, and Frank Williams Jr.(Beth), his grandchildren; Matthew Langley, Noelle Langley, Melissa Langley, Kristen Heare, Lauren Heare, DJ Pomaville, AJ Mascola, Louis Mascola, Gabby Mascola, and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson Ronnie.
At the age of 17, Frank proudly enlisted in the Air Force where he devoted 24 years to serving our Country. Among the many awards he received during his time in the Air Force, some of his more notable commendations included: the Army Good Conduct Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the AF Longevity Service Ribbon with Five Oak Leaf Cluster, and the National Defense Service Medal. While in the Air Force, Frank traveled around the world on assignment and spent 11 years in Operations Intelligence. As a grandfather, he loved telling his grandchildren stories about his service in the Air Force. One of his favorite stories involved landing on an island runway in the Pacific that “was so small, all you could see was water when you looked out either side of the plane.”
After retiring from the Air Force, Frank was employed at Jupiter Music where he worked as a Credit Manager. While at Jupiter, he would attend many conventions including the NAMM Convention where he met the love of his life, Rosalinda, whom he adored dearly.
Frank belonged to St. Hedwig Church, where he attended mass with his wife every Sunday. When not at church or on the golf course, you could catch Frank watching his favorite sports teams: the L.A. Dodgers, the University of Texas Longhorns football team, or the Washington Redskins. He and Linda enjoyed traveling; particularly to the island of Maui where he spent at least one week each year relaxing, sunbathing, and golfing in no particular order.
He will be remembered for his smile, which could light up a room; his laugh, which was so infectious you couldn’t help but laugh along with him; his love for storytelling; and his unwavering devotion to his family.
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at Luyben Dilday Mortuary- Long Beach. Mass will be held at St. Hedwig Catholic Church on Wednesday December 23 with interment at Rose Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Orange County Irvine.
