Frances Ogle was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Frances was born on July 24, 1924, in Herndon, Kansas, to Joe and Katie Zwickl. Her childhood was spent working and playing on the farm with her nine siblings. She reminisced about picking vegetables, milking cows, playing hide and seek in the corn fields, and going to the dances on Saturday nights. After she graduated from high school, Frances moved to Long Beach to join her sisters. The four of them shared a small apartment and worked at McDonnell Douglas.
Frances always loved country music. She loved to dance and have a good time. It was on the dance floor of the Hitching Post in 1952 that she met and fell in love with Terry Ogle. They got married on September 20th of that same year and bought their first home in the growing little town called Lakewood. They raised their 8 children in this home. The children in the neighborhood were very fond of "Aunt Frances" and knew her house was a place they were always welcome. As time went on, Frances and Terry became grandparents to 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, all of whom were always welcomed with open arms and oftentimes a warm meal.
Frances loved a clean house, working in her garden, and putting puzzles together. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Parish and spent many hours volunteering her time to help others. She touched many lives and hearts and will be missed by all.
