Florante “Dante” Sison Lugtu, was born on February 25th, 1943 in Mamburao Occidental, Mindoro, Philippines to Eutiquio and Beatriz Sison Lugtu. He was the eldest brother who looked after his five younger siblings, Edil, Danilo, Carmencita, Romulo, and Vilma. A loving husband to his one and only IROG, Segundina Chavez Lugtu. Which he loved dearly, and built a life with her raising their three children Arnel, Flordina, and Arlene. Both were blessed to enjoy their time with their four grandchildren HanielCoy, Gabriel, Ethan and Nadine. Dante loved his family very much, and always made sure that they were cared for and protected. He was a man of little words, but his love can be felt whenever you’d be around him through his actions and a smile that will imprint in your mind forever.

Dante had a zest for life that no one could measure. He made the moments he had with his family the most memorable. With his eldest grandson HanielCoy, “Coy Coy”, he and Coy created a bond as grandfather and grandson that can never be broken as he raised and watched him grow into a young man. Dante made sure with Gabriel, “Gab Gab”, that his plate was always full, stomach was always happy, and fed him every time he was around. Or the time he spent with his granddaughter Nadine, standing under the orange tree in the backyard picking and eating the fresh oranges as the droppings of the peels hit the floor. No care in the world, but the enjoyment of eating the juiciest oranges they’ve ever had. As nightfall hits, the sounds of Frank Sinatra’s song, Fly Me To The Moon, can be heard sung by him and his grandson Ethan echoing throughout the house. He truly made an impact on their lives, no matter how close or far each of them may be. The memories he made with them will forever be in their hearts. They will never forget their Lolo.

He was a man that cared for his loved ones dearly. If you were sick or hurt, know that Dante will be right by your side helping you heal your pain and stay by your side until you are well. This was a fond memory that his children and siblings would mention about him. Besides how much he enjoyed watching WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) and the joy it brought to his day. His dream of attending a live WWE match was going to be fulfilled after he recovered from the hospital. Attending an event with his youngest brother, Romulo. He would have loved it. Dante will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his legacy will live on.
