After fighting against cancer, Emiliano “Esor” Rosario Ventura, 74, of Long Beach, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept 1, 2019, at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center.
He was born to late parents James and Basilisa Ventura on February 14, 1945 in Tandoc, Pangasinan, Philippines. Emiliano received a degree in Accounting from Luzon College of Commerce and Business Administration and was a certified public accountant. His exceptional work ethic was recognized in the Phillippines, Saudi Arabia, Guam and America. In 1994, he opened up his own accounting firm in Long Beach, where he went on to help thousands of people with their finances.
Emiliano was known for his generous nature. He made regular donations to his hometown of Tandoc, as well as other towns in the Philippines. His favorite pastime was participating in various games of chance where he often shared his good fortune with everyone.
Emiliano is survived by his wife Demie, his brothers Frederico and Leonardo, and sisters Thelma and Verna. He is also survived by his 11 children, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Emiliano was predeceased by his parents James and Basalisa, his brothers Robert and Nicanor, his sisters Velcita and Linda, his son Wilson and daughter Vilma.
The viewing will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 2:00PM til 10:00PM at Luyben Dilday Mortuary. The funeral mass will follow on Friday, September 20, 2019, 9:30AM, at St. Lucy Catholic Church. The burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cypress.
