Eladio José Verdugo Ochoa of Long Beach , California, passed away on December 27, 2020 at the age of 95. Eladio was born an identical twin on September 18, 1925 in Tulare, California born the eldest child of six to Calixtro and Micaela Ochoa. He lived his youth in Sinaloa, Mexico along side his siblings, there is where he enjoyed riding horses and exploring the wilderness. In his adult years Eladio made the move from Mexico to La Jolla, San Diego where he harvested and engaged in agriculture marching at the side of Ceaser Chavez in the 1960s. In the words of Robert F Kennedy, “When your children & grandchildren take their place in America, when you look at them you will say, ‘I did this, I was there…’And though you may be old and bent from many years of hard labor, no man will stand taller than you.”
Eladio was a devoted grandfather and spent the majority of his elderly years dedicating to his grandchildren. Sharing his stories, laughs and many kisses goodnight. In his spare time He loved to take long walks around the city as he admired the outdoors. Eladio lived by faith and enjoyed the simple things in life like reading from his bible while swaying in his rocking chair. All who knew him, had a genuine love towards him because of his kind nature. He will be missed tremendously but most of all remembered Infinitely.
